Peter Jackson

Chairman of the Board

Peter Jackson is a Director and Chief Executive Officer of Asia Satellite Telecommunications Holdings Ltd. (AsiaSat), he has over 30 years experience in the telecommunications industry. Prior to joining AsiaSat in 1993, Mr Jackson was the Regional Director, Asia Pacific of Cable & Wireless. He joined Cable and Wireless in 1970 where he held several engineering, marketing and management positions, including General Manager in Dominica and the British Virgin Islands, Regional Marketing Manager for the Bermuda, Caribbean and Atlantic region, and Regional Director of Asia-Pacific.

Mr Jackson received the Asia-Pacific Satellite and Communications Council – 2006 APSCC's "Satellite Executive of the Year in Asia Pacific' award in Seoul, Korea and was awarded the CASBAA Chairman's Award 2006 for “the outstanding contribution to the Asia-Pacific multi-channel cable, satellite and broadband pay-TV industries in the previous 12 months"

Mr. Jackson has been a member of CASBAA (Cable & Satellite Broadcasting Association of Asia) for almost all of the Association's 15-year history and a Member of the Board of Directors for over seven years.

William Wade

Board Member

William Wade is a Director of Asia Satellite Telecommunications Holdings Ltd. and the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of AsiaSat. He has over 14 years experience in the satellite and cable television industry. He joined Hutchison Whampoa in 1992 as Director of Business Development of the Pan Asian systems. Prior to joining Hutchison Whampoa, he was with Echosphere International (Echostar) from 1985. Mr. Wade was Executive Director, responsible for Asia and the Middle East, and Director of Operations responsible for sales, marketing and distribution of satellite receiving equipment in the eastern United States. Mr. Wade speaks fluent Mandarin and holds a B.A. (Honors) degree in Communications from the University of Utah, and a Master degree in International Management (MIM) from the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird).
