Network / Customer Support Engineer

We are seeking dynamic professionals to join our Network Operations Team at our Tsuen Wan Teleport. Successful candidate will be offered the position of Network / Customer Support Engineer with attractive salary, generous fringe benefits and excellent career prospects.

Requirements:

Degree holder of IT, EE or related discipline with Western education a plus;
At-least 2 years experience in network planning and support;
Candidate should be dedicated and ready to work extra hours to support the business;
Good communication skills;
Multitasking and able to work under pressure;
Willing to work on shift duty.

Experience:

Knowledge of LAN/WAN environments and Internet related infrastructure;
Hands-on experience in configuring Cisco routers and switches;
Experience in planning of IP Network with thorough understanding of TCP/IP;
Experience in maintaining IP network and data center facilities;
Supporting BGP and other IP based routing protocols;
Experience in H.323 and sip protocols;
Experience in satellite communication;
Knowledge of DVB/TDMA, Multimedia and Video Streaming services over IP.

RF Engineer

We are seeking high potential candidates to join our RF Team at our Tsuen Wan teleport. Successful candidate will be offered the position of RF Engineer with attractive salary, generous fringe benefits and excellent career prospects.

Requirements:

Degree in Satellite Communication or equivalent experience in the satellite field
Experiences in Teleport operations, VSAT systems in Hong Kong or other regions is preferred
Able to work independently
Knowledge of Satellite system components
Familiar of different category of cables and connectors and able to fabricate cables and connectors for specific requirements like BNC, F-type N-type and V.35
Data communication knowledge is preferred
Able to use test equipments like Spectrum Analyser , BER tester, power meter
Basic PC skills using MS office, Excel , Powerpoint and able to present using Powerpoint and other softwares

Duty and responsibilities:

Carry out shift duties in data center/teleport
Perform Day to day operations which includes Customer support, VSAT equipment setup and testing, SCPC activation, end to end testing and crosspole test
VSAT installation which includes antenna alignment, cable and connectors making
Equipment testing which includes SSPA, ODU, C-band modem, L-band modem, BUC , LNB and line amplifiers
Prepare RF system design and basic knowledge of Satellite link budget

Product Development Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Product Development Engineer with a passion for developing and commercializing new IT services. This position is base in Kuala Lumpur Sentral.

Principal Responsibilities:

Responsible for end-to-end new service development and enhancement as outlined by Speedcast's product roadmap
Define requirements for new products and services; proactively gathering data from internal and external sources
Responsible for product roll-outs and product upgrades
Design project plans, budgets and procedures to fully manage the service delivery
Monitor product performance and product lifecycle
Support presales activities with technical proposals or presentation material
Keep abreast of technological advancements

Ideally you will have the following experience:

Hold a Bachelors Degree in one or more IT related disciplines
>5 years working experience in new product development, applications engineering or systems design
Working knowledge of Satellite communications and IP networking
Strong analytical skills and creative initiative
Good interpersonal skills, motivated by product creation, highly organized with good communications skills (written and spoken)
Advanced computing skills

Finance and Administration Officer

We are looking for a young and energetic professional to strengthen our fast-paced, dynamic accounting team.This position is based in Kuala Lumpur Sentral.

Principal Responsibilities :

Accounting Function :

Assist staff to prepare reimbursements for employee's claims;
Prepare check or TT payments and manage petty cash account
Data entry into computerized accounting system;
Prepare journal entries for month-end close;
Prepare invoices and bank reconciliation;
Prepare account analysis
Manage Fixed Asset Register

General Administration Function :

Provide secretarial and administration support
Efficiently manage travel and hotel arrangements for staff and guests
Identify and select hotel chains and travel agents
Organize company events and sales conference and meetings
Provide assistance in printing of marketing and promotional materials
Maintain files, handle incoming / outgoing mail and enhance office procedures
Arrange logistics matters for inventory and company equipment

HR Function :

Key Requirements :

Legal Executive
We are looking for a creative and experienced lawyer with a sound commercial and legal mind. This position is based in Kuala Lumpur Sentral.

Principal Responsibilities:

Responsible for drafting, reviewing, negotiating and advising on agreements
Providing legal counsel (written opinions) to key management personnel, various product and sales department with regards to Multimedia and Content Distribution, Satellite Equipment and Services (International incl. Maritime), Corporate/Commercial, Corporate Secretarial, Industrial Relations
Knowledge in Regulatory, Licensing matters and connections within CMC, MDEC and MOF is an added advantage
Conducting research on legal and commercial issues
Ability to manage dispute resolution on a local and international level
Filing, indexing and organizing paperwork

Key requirements

Hold a Bachelor in Laws with Honours LLB (Hons), admitted as advocate and solicitor at the High Court of Malaya
2-3 years PQE
Being able to revert on assignments under severe pressure albeit with well thought-out and reasoned responses
Proficient in English and Bahasa Melayu (written and oral)
Good communication skills
Ability to cope with pressure and solve problems
Attention to detail
Proactive and able to give verbal and written opinions to management on key issues
Sound commercial mind
Knowledge of contract, international jurisdictions, dispute resolution formalities, intellectual property and commercial law is a bonus
Proficiency in typing, filing, record keeping and other administrative skills will be given consideration

Working Hours:

(9.30am – 6.30pm) x 5 days/wk
Some domestic and international travel will be required
