Welcome
Dear Partners,
Some of you expressed the need for some more formal communication from SpeedCast. As we continue to expand into solutions our offering becomes more complex, our products and services more diverse and we thought that "resurrecting" our Quarterly E-newsletter would be the best way for us to fulfill your need to be better informed about our new developments and our success stories.
I sincerely hope that we will reach that goal and we certainly very much welcome your comments on this first issue in order to ensure that this new tool, made for you, fulfill its purpose.
What a year 2006 has been! SpeedCast now operates 7 hubs with customers in over 30 countries, has launched three vertical solutions (SeaCast, FlyCast and Celcast), and saw its revenues growing by 35%. This success has been achieved thanks to your continuous support. I thank you for your trust and reiterate our commitment to offer you the best quality services, solutions and support in Asia by continuously investing in new technologies and applications and enhancing our 24/7 support and operations capabilities.
2007 will be a year of focus on vertical solutions, rolling out the existing ones. We certainly see a significant potential for CelCast in all your markets, offering innovative GSM backhaul solutions. Our FlyCast solution responds to a growing need in the market as highlighted in our Market trend section in this issue. Our soon to-be-launched business continuity surely addresses growing enterprises' concerns in the region and should experience a quick take-off. There are also some interesting VoIP services coming up; please make sure your SpeedCast Sales Representative tells you about these solutions.
In order to sustain our fast growth of the past few years and maintain our leadership in VSAT services and Mobile TV in Asia, we also need to bring additional talented and passionate individuals on board. I am glad to announce the joining of Rey Chan as Vice President of Sales. Some of you may know him as he was with SpeedCast from 2000 to 2003. He is joining bringing over 15 years of experience in the satellite industry and I hope that you can meet him very soon as he certainly will contribute to our future common success in your markets. All this has led us to expand our office in Kuala Lumpur as a regional centre with among other things our regional product team based there. You will know more about our Malaysian team in the following pages.
We have ambitious recruitment plans in 2007; you will therefore see new faces, new talents at SpeedCast that will help us serve you always better and be the best at what we do.
I wish you all a lot of success with SpeedCast services and hope to have the pleasure to see you very soon at CommunicAsia in Singapore.
Yours sincerely,
PIERRE JEAN BEYLIER
