SpeedCast helps Travel Channel expand across Asia-Pacific.

Hong Kong, 4 November 2009 - SpeedCast today announced an agreement to provide broadcast and distribution services to Travel Channel International (TCI).
SpeedCast is providing co-location, uplink services and 24/7 monitoring and operations out of its world-class Network Operations Centre and teleport facilities in Hong Kong, The agreement also includes a marketing cooperation for TCI to leverage SpeedCast distribution capabilities in key markets across Asia-Pacific, primarily to IP-based networks. The live broadcast of the channel on AsiaSat 5 started November 3, 2009.
AsiaSat 5 satellite has been successfully launched in August 2009 and is replacing the AsiaSat 2 satellite at 100.5°
East. Asiasat 5 satellite covers more than 53 countries spanning from Russia to New Zealand and from Japan to Middle East. With the newly launched AsiaSat 5, TCI can now be available across the Asia Pacific region..
