NT Council of Social Service Conference

Northern Territory Council of Social Service (NTCOSS) which was held recently in Darwin , Australia from 16th – 18th April represented groups from many areas including law and justice services, children’s, youth, mental health, family, older persons, disability, housing, education, employment and training, drug & alcohol, health services; ethnic and multicultural groups, sports and recreational groups, consumer and self-help groups. SpeedCast and MedSat Technologies whom were also sponsors during this three day event contributed their knowledge and presence towards improving satellite communications within the Northern Territory.

Asia Pacific Maritime 2008 "This is the One"
SpeedCast and Eutelsat’s presence were highly felt at this year’s Asia Pacific Maritime (APM) held recently in Singapore. The three day event which started from 26th March to the 28th March attracted about 7,058 visitors across Asia Pacific, the United States, Europe and the Middle East. In addition, there was a big boost in participations this year with about 841 participants from 52 countries worldwide compared to APM participations in 2006 of about 620 participants internationally.
On the occasion of Asia Pacific Maritime Opening Party sponsored by Eutelsat Communications (Euronext Paris: ETL) and SpeedCast, both parties announced the launching of a new global maritime broadband communications service addressing the commercial shipping sector.
During the event, SpeedCast CEO, Pierre-Jean Beylier, quoted: "We are very happy to be launching this new global Ku-band service together with Eutelsat to address some of the key issues that the shipping industry is currently facing, such as crew retention and extension of corporate applications to ships. Eutelsat and SpeedCast’s service combines Internet access and VoIP for the crew, and secure VPN capabilities with guaranteed bandwidth for mission critical corporate applications. The ship really becomes a mobile office with an always-on broadband connection and unlimited usage for a monthly fixed fee, as we are used to onshore. "

CASBAA Convention 2007 in Hong Kong
This year's theme 'It's all about Content' was focused on the vital market drivers for pay-TV services and video content. Highlights were also given to how resilient relationship between content, carriage, customers and revenue. The four-day CASBAA Convention 2007, organised by the Cable & Satellite Broadcasting Association of Asia (CASBAA), attracted over 1,500 participants. SpeedCast contributed at the CASBAA Charity Ball themed "A CASBIAN Sea Odyssey" in support of UNICEF. During this event, hosted by Richard Quest of CNN, more than US$50,000 was successfully raised for UNICEF's work to help children.

APSCC 2007 Satellite Conference & Exhibition in Bangkok, Thailand
APSCC's 10th Asia-Pacific Satellite Communication, Broadcasting, Space Conference and Exhibition that was recently held at the Millennium Hilton, Bangkok, Thailand last September 2007 offered extensive networking opportunities with key players within the satellite and space-related industries; as well as meeting opportunities with the most influential executives in the industry.
During the "Broadband Services and Applications" panel discussion, Mr. Pierre-Jean Beylier, CEO of SpeedCast Limited contributed his outlook on new technologies and services strategies along with market trends within the satellite industry.

CommunicAsia 2007
This year the event attracted about 68,192 visitors from 100 countries across Asia Pacific, the United States, Europe and the Middle East. During this event, we introduced our leading white label end-to-end mobile TV solution, MobiCast, offering a bouquet of branded live and video on demand (VOD) channels. Visitors had the opportunity to experience mobile TV live at our booth. Highlights were also focused on our Maritime solution – SeaCast and cellular backhaul solution – CelCast.

CabSat 2005
March 8 - 10, 2005 Dubai World Trade Centre
SpeedCast successfully exhibited at CABSAT 2005 in the Dubai World Trade Centre from 8 - 10 March 2005. CABSAT is an annual showcase of the latest developments in the cable, satellite, broadcast and communications equipment markets. It provides the ideal platform for the latest technology and business strategies to converge, as well as provide trade visitors from across the globe to explore new business opportunities.

CommunicAsia 2004: "Mobile Services Trends and Opportunities: Mobile Media?"
SpeedCast successfully exhibited at CommunicAsia 2004 in Singapore. CommunicAsia attracted 33,341 visitors from 90 countries, which is recognized as Asia’s largest ever communications and IT trade event. During the four days event, we launched our new KU-Band service. Pierre-Jean Beylier, Chief Executive Officer, participated in the "Mobile Services Trends and Opportunities: Mobile Multimedia?" panel session, providing information and insights of the industry.

CASBAA Satellite Industry Forum 2004 : "Telecommunications - A Satellite Backbone"
CASBAA Satellite Industry Forum 2004 provides a unique opportunity to network and exchange information in a challenging and exciting Asian environment. The objective of the annual CASBAA Satellite Industry Forum is to gather the most senior level decision makers within the Asian satellite industry to shed light on the strategic issues faced by companies. SpeedCast sponsored this one day event and Mr. Tom Choi, Deputy Chairman, participated in “Telecommunications – A Satellite backbone” sharing his valuable experiences and information on how the satellite industry can bring value to telcos broadband services and develop synergies with other distribution networks.

Mobile Entertainment & Gaming 2004 in Singapore
This two day conference held in Singapore attracted operators in the mobile entertainment & gaming value-chain Pierre-Jean Beylier, Chief Executive Officer participated in the speech panel at "Mobile Entertainment & Gaming 2004" in Singapore. Discussions were on the hot topic of operators in the mobile entertainment & gaming value-chain. Pierre-Jean Beylier shared his experiences of new and innovative technologies that will impact the mobile gaming and entertainment market.

The Internet Fair 2004
The Internet Fair 2004 in Bangladesh, assembles leading experts and trainers, Internet providers with hands-on experience to discuss vendor solutions and the market where SpeedCast successfully sponsored and exhibited. During this four days event, SpeedCast attracted customers to the booth sharing solutions and ideas with them.

SatCom Asia 2004 : "Evaluating the Benefits of Satellite to Support Economic Development in Ermerging Markets"
SpeedCast sponsored SatCom Asia 2004, which attracted key decision makers in the satellite industry as well as Enterprises who are looking to take advantage of the opportunities that satellite technology brings. During this five days exhibition Pierre-Jean Beylier, participated in the "Evaluating the benefits of satellite to support economic development in emerging markets" SpeedCast panel session with Agence France Presse and UNDP (United development program). He discussed the role of improving the telecommunications infrastructure in Asia's emerging markets and evaluating the importance of narrowband and broadband satellite applications.

APSCC Workshop: Digital Satellite Broadcasting & Digital Multimedia Broadcasting
This three days workshop held in Lotte Hotel, Jeju Island, Korea, provided professionals with forecasts and studies on new services to evaluate the latest developments in satellite broadcasting and successful examples of service providers achieving integrated services and solutions. 154 executives from 71 companies around the world attended the workshop. Mr. Tom Choi, Deputy Chairman of SpeedCast, discussed the issues of digital broadcasting and the convergence of communications and broadcasting, the regulations applicable to the new environment, and the mutual cooperation required for the development of new services.

Mobiles Indonesia: "Exploring Opportunities from the Perspective of a Mobile Content Provider"
Mobiles Indonesia is a timely and informative two days conference addressing issues on how to capitalize on the business opportunities available in the Indonesian market. Mr. Pierre-Jean Beylier’s presentation shared experiences with working with 3G operators and discussed content that works over mobile devices, and highlighted future growth areas for mobile content providers.
