SpeedCast Enterprise (VPN) is a private communications network designed for enterprises that require a way to communicate confidentially over the public Internet.

In order for such the virtual link to function, data is encapsulated within a header that provides routing information allowing it to transit the shared or public network to reach its destination. To simulate a private link, the data is transmitted and is encrypted for confidentiality. Packets intercepted on the shared or public network are indecipherable without the encryption keys.
