Satellite Broadband is an alternative to dial-up and DSL (digital subscriber line) to deliver continuous Internet connectivity via satellite. We provide quality and speeds similar to other broadband technologies. Due to geographical constraints, not everyone can access the Internet via DSL or cable, especially in rural areas. As a wireless technology, Satellite Broadband delivers high quality irrespective of distance.

The connection is between the satellite and the dish (remote antenna) installed at the customer premises. Satellite broadband can achieve download speeds of up to 2 megabits per second (Mbps) and upload speed up to 1 Mbps. Satellite Broadband service can be one-way or two-way. One-way satellite broadband means that data is downloaded via satellite and uploaded via a telephone line. Two-way connections both download and upload data using satellite. Broadband satellite connections require a satellite dish as well as a transceiver.
