Adding Microsoft Virtual Private Network on Windows2000

  1. The First thing you need to do is Log in as Administrator on your PC.
  2. Go to your desktop and right click "My My Network Places Network Places", and select "Properties".
  3. Then add a new connection by double clicking " Make New Connection"

  4. It will prompt you to the "Network Connection Wizard" as show in the picture below;

  5. Select "Connect to a private Network through the Internet" and click "Next"
  6. Another window will pop-up as show below and put "pptp.speedcast.com" as you Host name, then click "Next"

  7. Then a new window will pop-up and will ask if you want to have ICS (Internet Connection Sharring). Don't enable it if it is not necessary.

  8. Then click "Next" to continue.
  9. It will prompt you to the next window.

  10. Then click "Finish"
  11. Now it will prompt you to the window and ask you to put your PPTP username and password.

  12. After putting the correct username and password, you need to click "Properties".
  13. Go to the "Security" and set the same setting as show in the figure below
  14. Then click "Ok" until it finish.
