
Adding Microsoft Virtual Private Network on Windows98
* Since the default settings for Windows installations do not include the Virtual Private Networking services. You must install it manually.
- Go to Start, Settings, and Control Panel and select Add/Remove Programs.
- Then click Windows Setup, then select Communication
- Marked check on the Virtual Private Networking
- Then the click OK and so on until the PC restart.


- Next is to check the Network Neighborhood preferences.
- Right click the Network Neighborhood icon on your desktop and click Properties
- Add an adapter called Dial-up Adapter #2 (VPN Support)
- Click Add, Adapter, then select Microsoft, then select the Microsoft Virtual Private networking Adapter
- Set the IP Packet size of your "Dial-up Adapter" and Dial-up Adapter #2 to LARGE. You can change it on the properties then Advance of each Adapter.
- Then click OK, and continue until it asks to reboot your PC.
- Then reboot the system.



Patches that need to be apply after the complete Installation (for Windows95 and 98 only).
