How can I register my DVB receiver through SSI?

Why I can't lock satellite signal and/or data on my DVB card even when I have high signal strength?
You may find a solution to resolve this problem by checking on the below items.
  • You may be experiencing high signal strength but you card may maybe aligned to the different satellite. (Other than AsiaSat 3S)
  • Check if you are properly aligned on the right satellite, which is Asiasat 3S.
  • Make sure that your LNB is on the vertical polarization.
  • Check the cable and connectors if it is properly terminated on both ends.
  • Check the frequency parameters and see if they conform to the SpeedCast services. (Please refer to the "Client Installation Procedures")
When I try to register my DVB receiver on the SpeedCast SSI, I get error messages like "Invalid Registration. The public key file you attached has already been used. You may have submitted your registration twice. If not, please regenerate the public key or contact your provider for further assistance". What is the reason that I'm getting this message?
There may be three reasons why you are experiencing this kind of error.
  1. SpeedCast client software program has already been installed on your PC on a previous occasion. You will need to remove all SpeedCast related files and folders to re-install the software again.
  2. The Mac address you have entered on the DVB receiver registry already has an old record of the mac address on SpeedCast SSI database. You will need to inform the SpeedCast customer support team by sending mails to support@speedcast.com for refresh and/or delete of the old mac address records from the database which will enable your DVB card registration again.
  3. You might have clicked the "submit" button twice.
Note: Make sure the Mac address of your DVB receiver is on the SSI record. Verify it with your LSP.
I have successfully established PPTP connection using my dial-up but can't seem to ping a particular site or browse the WWW. What's wrong with my connection?
This may happen when you have an active network adaptor on your PC at the same time and you are using dial-up PPP and PPTP. You will need to either remove or de-activate your network adaptor.
Check if the PID for your service is active on you DVB receiver parameter. (Refer to user manual)
Why can't I view the SpeedCast Multimedia Streaming on the web?
Check if the PID 303 is active on you DVB receiver settings parameter.
Check if you have a properly installed Microsoft Media Player 6.0 or above on your PC.
Why can't I receive the SpeedCast File Delivery on my PC?
Check if you have the PID 305 (File Delivery channel) and 350 (announcement channel) active on your DVB receiver settings parameters.
ake sure you run the registry file that SSI sent to you when you have successfully registered your DVB card. (Please refer to user guide Client Installation Procedures)
Check if your DVB receiver has TCP/IP parameters of IP address of 10.10.10.10 and subnet mask of 255.255.255.0
