The professional explorer, Mike Horn, and Rally Racer Cyril Despres are determined to change the way motor racing is done on the planet. They participated in the Dakar Rally to collect data for a full hydrogen-powered vehicle that they have been developing as part of the GEN Z project.

In this week’s Minute with Mike, we discover how Mike Horn’s participation in the Dakar Rally further contributes to his mission of protecting the environment. With the connectivity support of Speedcast, Mike’s team leveraged sensors outfitted in the race car to gather a deeper level of intelligence, directly supporting the upcoming ambitious design of a fully hydrogen-powered vehicle. Once built, Mike hopes to spark action by using the concept car to educate individuals and industries on climate change and environmental preservation, promoting a cleaner way of mobility.
