Back- Jim joined Speedcast in 2021 as Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors and was appointed Chief Executive Officer in January 2024. He also served as the company’s Interim CTO in 2023.
- He has more than 35 years of technology and communications experience in satellite, broadband, and wireless that, combined with his expertise in technical, financial, and P&L optimization, have led to results in creating and maximizing shareholder value while simultaneously driving operational performance and efficiency.
- Prior to joining Speedcast, Jim served as the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board at ABS.
- He has previously served in high-profile leadership roles and held various board positions at major satellite operating companies throughout the world, including President and Chief Operating Officer at Intelsat and PanAmSat Corporations, where Jim was responsible for running and executing the post-acquisition integration of the two companies and successfully created the largest satellite company in the world.
- Jim holds a Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and post-graduate Astronautical Engineering education from UCLA.
